1000-1500 people disappear in Kazakhstan every month, of which 20% are children

According to the analytics of the Committee on Legal Statistics and Special Accounts of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, every month 1000-1500 people disappear in Kazakhstan, of which 20% are children. More than 1000 children are reported missing a year. In Russia, this figure is several times higher: according to the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the figure reaches 15-20 thousand annually (in Moscow alone, about 1400 children disappear without a trace every year). Kid Security is killing two birds with one stone: enhancing child safety with improved remote supervision capabilities, and launching a global startup.

What is Kid Security? Kid Security is an application based on GPS tracking technologies that allows you to find out where the child is, understand the situation around, and keep in touch with the children at any time. Due to the fact that the development of the mobile application was based on the experience of a psychologist on family relationships with children, the bounce rate from Kid Security is almost 2.5 times lower for similar services. According to the App Store and Google Play, while the usual “total control” applications are removed by children in 90% of cases, then Kid Security — only in 40% of cases. Such popularity and interest are caused by the unique functionality of the game application: the presence of a virtual pet, a system of material rewards from parents for the achievements of the baby (which are recorded within Kid Security), and an increase in the level of communication in the family. In addition, the smartphone program allows parents not only to see the location of the child, but also to receive an SOS signal in case of an emergency. And the transfer of the coordinates of the last location of the child to law enforcement agencies will almost 10 times increase the chance of saving a minor in the event of a threat to his life or safety.

The application was developed by an ordinary accountant, a young father, in an ideological partnership with fellow developers and a psychologist. Prior to the release of the full-scale product, studies were conducted of interest in child safety, purchasing power of the population, and children’s loyalty to the application.

Since the beginning of 2019, Kid Security has already received the attention of Astana Hub and Tech Garden accelerators, investors represented by Tech Garden Ventures. Thanks to such popularity, the project has already received funding in the amount of 15.3 million tenge since 2018. Another 8 million are pouring in at the moment. At the same time, already today the application has regularly 6 thousand active users (with a conversion in the purchase of paid functionality of 6%), who spend at least 16 minutes a day in Kid Security with the regularity of logins — 8 times. By the end of this year, the company plans to increase the number of downloads by at least 3 times. But in the prospects for business until 2020, there is an entry into priority markets of high solvency (USA, Great Britain, Spain, Brazil, Russia). As a result of such business scaling, Kid Security plans to receive income of $ 1.5 million in 16 months. For the worldwide launch of the improved service, the company plans to attract about 100 million tenge in the near future, which, judging by the current success, will not be difficult.

So, the usual concern for the safety of your child made it possible to earn more than half a million dollars in just a couple of years. And this is not the limit. Definitely, we can be proud of our compatriot.
