80% of the products of the special economic zone “Ontustik” are exported

Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the KazakhstnaII Dinara Shcheglova visited the special economic zone “Ontustik”

On October 28, within the framework of a working visit to Shymkent, Vice Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dinara Shcheglova visited the special economic zone “Ontustik”, 80% of whose products are exported. The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the implementation of digital and advanced solutions at the production facilities of the FEZ.

In particular, upon arrival, the vice minister visited the plant for the production of carpets and rugs LLP “Bal Tekstil”, a sewing factory with a conveyor stream and a workshop for the production of applied materials LLP “AGF Group”.

Now BAL TEXTIL LLP is the largest manufacturer of carpets, rugs and synthetic threads. The enterprise within the framework of the Industry 4.0 program is one of the 7 model digital factories in Kazakhstan, which are designed to become demonstration platforms for the possibilities of digital technologies by 2025. On the basis of this enterprise, several digital projects are being implemented at once, allowing to receive economic benefits through energy saving and reducing equipment downtime. Its capacity is 5 million square meters. meters of carpets and rugs and four thousand tons of synthetic threads per year. The company employs 300 people.

Another light industrial enterprise — PK AGF Group LLP is the largest manufacturer of home textiles in the country. The company has vast experience in the field of garment production. Even at the initial stage of the formation of this enterprise, its assortment was quite wide — from camouflage nets to school uniforms. However, after the conclusion of an agreement with the Swedish company IKEA in 2015 for the supply of bed linen for its Russian stores, PC AGF Group became the only enterprise in Kazakhstan that manufactures garments for this global brand.

In continuation, the Vice-Minister was presented with the activities of the “Light Industry Competence Center”. The main purpose of this Center is to provide light industry enterprises with highly qualified specialists. According to the creators, 200 students will study at the Light Industry Competence Center.

In conclusion, the activities of enterprises were presented to the vice-minister by the heads of enterprises for the production of hosiery LLP “Alem BT”, shoes and soles of LLP “JV” LUX SHOES " the textile industry with the introduction of advanced digital solutions.
