The results of an unusual three-week hackathon — a competition for solving technological problems of the IT-kvartal Challenge — will be announced on Thursday, November 14!

Our partners provided nine real-world tasks to improve their business processes.

The Tech Garden Autonomous Cluster Fund partners — Halyk Bank Kazakhstan, ReLog, Association of Financiers of Kazakhstan, OrionM2M, Asia-Soft, Evotech CA, ALCOR and Azimut Labs — provided 9 real tasks to improve their processes.

The companies also presented prizes: cash prizes, signing a contract or implementing a pilot project.

Startups had three weeks to solve problems. The deadline for solving problems ends. And on November 14, the solvers will have to present their options to customers. The creators of the best solutions will receive awards from the customers. In addition, the Tech Garden Autonomous Cluster Fund will provide the best team with free coworking spaces for six months.

Among the tasks: to develop a Vehicle Routing Problem algorithm, create a creative QR generator / reader, create a service of short links with analytics, auto-scaling, design a universal rate scale and create billing algorithms for rates, and others.

This competition is a kind of trial solution for working out the mechanism of corporate acceleration, which we plan to actively implement next year. Prior to that, several training and motivating events were held — in particular, in 2017, a trip was organized for residents of the FEZ “PIT” to Silicon Valley. It consisted of a series of lectures, professional panels, business master classes, meetings with mentors, and so on. At the end of November, we are bringing the executives of several large companies to South Korea so that they can be inspired by the experience of “open innovation” on the example of such giants as Hyundai Engineering and Construction, Samsung SDS, Hyosung, LS Industrial Systems and others.
