Tech Garden presented digital energy projects to the leadership of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development

Among them are the maintenance system for electrical networks, Blockchain technologies and Artificial Intelligence on the Automatic system for commercial accounting of power consumption.

According to experts, by 2035, the total volume of the global smart energy market will be more than $770 million.

After the participation of the Autonomous Cluster Fund “Park of Innovative Technologies”, acting under the Tech Garden brand, experts from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development became interested in the Tech Garden digital energy projects in the Russian International Energy Forum.

Alfiya Ilaeva, Director of the Department of Digital Transformation of Industry, spoke about innovative solutions to the experts of the Kazakhstani team in the field of energy under the leadership of Energy Eurasia MEA Director Aida Sitdikova.

Among the presented by Tech Garden:

1. The system of robotic monitoring and maintenance of electrical networks “Kanatokhod”:
- monitoring of the state of overhead high-voltage lines (OHL);
- creation of a high-quality digital model of overhead lines and landscape;
- digital description of the technical condition of the overhead line;
- performance of work on maintenance and repair of overhead lines without shutting down and without the presence of a person in the hazardous area.

2. Platform AlfaChain — Blockchain technologies for creating Smart Grid:
- maintenance of automated accounting along the entire electricity supply chain;
- providing deep protection against unauthorized access to data at all levels;
- making a record not only by the amount of energy resources, but also for a certain period of time;
- the platform can be built into the infrastructure of a city, region and the whole country;
- Creation of certified profiles of participants in the Internet of energy ecosystem;
- direct contractual relationship;
- transactions on the blockchain;
- honest billing.

3. Artificial intelligence on the ASKUE system:
- within 10-15 years, ASKUE systems have grown in volume from hundreds and thousands of meters in systems to hundreds of millions;
- AI / ML is ideal for processing a large amount of indefinitely structured data;
- Gartner estimates deep machine learning to deliver best-in-class performance for forecasts of consumption, fraud and bounce from 2020-2021.

Alfiya Ilaeva also made an analysis of the professions that are already needed today to create intelligent energy systems, and will be in demand in the future.

Smart grids require such specialists as: smart manager; smart grid designer; engineer for the development and implementation of artificial intelligence (Smart Grid); cybersecurity specialist for complex energy networks; building manager, apartment building; city   moderator; energy manager.

Predictive analytics of equipment maintenance: engineer for modernization of equipment of traditional energy; economics specialist on demand; Financial Instruments Engineer; engineer for the development of CAD based on multiphysics modeling of energy facilities; industrial psychologist; engineer for the development and implementation of artificial intelligence (Smart Grid).

Alternative energy: engineer for the development of CAD based on multiphysics modeling of energy facilities; meteorological engineer; operational dispatcher of renewable energy sources; aerohydrodynamics of wind and hydro turbines; developer-designer of autonomous power systems; developer-designer of electric and heat energy storage units; hydrogen energy engineer.

Eco-village bioenergy: agronomist of energy crops; microbiologist for microalgae; bioenergetic; regeneration and disposal engineer; reactor equipment engineer.
