The digital solution of our long time SIMP resident partner, ABiTech, has received the prestigious RFID Journal Awards 2022 award

The American magazine RFID LIVE annually holds an exhibition and competition for the best developments of radio frequency identification (RFID).

Two ABiTech projects — ASKOU — INVENTORY and ASKOU — MRO, implemented at the industrial site of KazMunayGas JSC, received the first place — RFID Journal Awards for using RFID technology to reduce costs, increase efficiency or otherwise improve business practices and services in various industries.

Companies from all over the world participate in the competition, including companies such as VISA, Boeing and other world-famous manufacturers and service companies. A team of independent judges evaluates the submitted works and selects the finalists and winners.

The purpose of the award is to recognize leaders in the development and application of RFID and IoT technologies and by popularizing the best implementations and products.

The system of automated accounting of fixed assets “ASKOU — INVENTORY” from ABiTech was introduced by the National Company “KazMunayGas” as part of digitalization in 2020. The work was done “turnkey”, including the supply of equipment, user training and free maintenance in the first year of use. All fixed assets on the balance sheet of JSC NC KazMunaiGas in the central office of Nursultan and in SOK Akbulak were digitized with RFID tags for various purposes, an external inspection was carried out and the current state of the OS was photographed, all data is stored in the system. Also, the organizational structure of the enterprise was created in the system, employees and users of fixed assets were introduced, user rights were delimited according to the authority matrix. The ASKOU — INVENTORY system allows you to reduce the time of inventory several times, while involving a minimum of employees, minimizes the impact of the human factor on the results of inventory, automates control over all financially responsible persons / OS users.  For ease of use, integration with the Enterprise ERP system — SAP and with Active Directory is implemented.

The RFID Journal Awards experts also appreciated the ABiTech ASKOU — MRO system — automated planning of maintenance of infrastructure equipment, execution control and operational accounting of work. Large and geographically distributed companies have a lot of equipment and infrastructure facilities that need to be serviced according to technical regulations. Proper and supervised maintenance ensures the correct operation of the equipment. This is especially important and critical if the equipment is to ensure the safety of trains, planes, etc. The system allows you to monitor the performance of planned work regardless of the industry specifics of the enterprise and in real time. Collecting data on deviations in operation allows you to analyze and plan further special work to reduce equipment failures and failures.

In addition to the first place of KazMunayGas JSC, two more projects for two Clients of ABiTech — Shatyr LLP and the American company Be-A-Brade were included in the finalists of the RFID Journal 2022 competition.
